FBC completed a Support at Home modification in Roselands, Sydney, which included a stainless steel handrail beside an internal tiled staircase. The same project also included an L-shaped grab rail in the shower.

Often, yes. FBC assesses the stair arrangement, proposed handrail position and supporting construction before confirming the installation method. Some locations may require additional support or associated building work.

Do you install both internal and external handrails?

Yes. FBC installs handrails for internal stairs and external steps and access areas across Sydney. Materials and fixing methods are selected according to the location, existing construction and project requirements.

Can you work from an Occupational Therapist’s recommendation?

Yes. Please provide any available OT recommendations, photographs and measurements. If the proposed position raises a construction issue, FBC can discuss it with the relevant referring professional before confirming the scope.

What height and configuration should a handrail be?

The appropriate arrangement depends on the stairs or access area, applicable project requirements and intended use. Where an OT is involved, their recommendations also inform the proposed solution. FBC assesses the site before confirming installation details.
